The company was established in Brisbane in 1917, and since then has provided general and specific Marine Surveying and Advisory Services of high quality and integrity to the Ship Owner and Shipping Industry.
We are correspondents and preferred surveyors to a number of P & I Clubs and Hull and Machinery Underwriters and regularly carry out work for others through their various legal representatives and agents in Australia and occasionally the South West Pacific Region.
As professional mariners, we have the qualifications and accumulated experience to investigate all manner of marine incidents and, from time to time, are called upon to provide technical advice on matters where litigation is pending or threatened.
We are well acquainted with all aspects of the safe carriage of General, Heavy Lift, Containerised, Refrigerated and Dry Bulk Cargoes and the associated stevedoring practices.· We also have extensive experience of the Bulk Oil, LPG, Chemicals and Liquid Component Trades.
The Company regularly undertakes consultative work for Port Authorities, Shipping Companies and the Mining Industry as well as providing ISM advice and Audit Services to the Marine Industry.
The Company is Quality Endorsed to ISO 9001 by SAI Global· Our Policy and Quality Management System precludes the use of subcontractors (except under clearly defined guidelines with prior client approval); therefore guaranteeing competent, professional representation at all times.
We are also Australian ISNetworld accredited contractors providing Crude Oil, Products and Base oil import/export ship/shore quantification and reconciliation for Oil Majors in Brisbane.

It is the policy of the Company to comprehensively train and mentor prospective Partners. This is achieved by a formal ‘in house’ program, supplemented by attendance at the Australian Maritime College or other training organisations.
The program is audited annually by SAI Global as part of the Quality Management System.
Professional qualifications are revalidated by the Australian Government according to STCW 95 requirements.
